Blogger: Peter Kibe has been a SHREC member for quite a while now, he is running for secretary of the students' council, I caught up with him and this is what he had to say:
Blogger: So why did you decide to run for this post and what are you hoping to accomplish?
Kibe: I have always had a passion to serve the people and this opportunity gives me a chance to represent all those associated with me like the SHREC members.
Blogger: What are you offering that is so different from your opponents?
Kibe: A common touch with the people and the urge to bring the student council to the people, and to promote the student council status from the level of the University to National Status, other major changes I am planning include: changing the voting system from the college system to a system of one man one vote.
Blogger: How has SHREC as a club helped you as a person and has it had any influence on your decision to run for the job?
Kibe: Through SHREC I have been able to build networks, and I have also gotten a better experience of the University, and how some activities are run, such as the club activities.
Blogger: Any closing remarks?
Kibe: Vote for me, I am a servant leader and I will serve you to the best of my ability, that is my promise.
