SUSAN KIAMA is the Managing Consultant of Three Green Apples Consulting. Prior to setting up Three Green Apples Consulting Limited, Susan was the Chief Human Resources Officer (HR Director) for Safaricom Limited, and prior to that she was the Head of Human Resources for Citibank NA Kenya Branch with responsibilities for human resource management in Kenya, Uganda, Tanzania and Zambia. Susan has also worked as a Principal Consultant with Deloitte & Touche Consulting, Kenya and she started her career in the human resources profession with Tetra Pak in the United Kingdom.
In her 16 year career, Susan has contributed to success of leading corporates through participation in strategy formulation, organization design and change management; talent management; performance improvement; reward structuring; management development and learning; people planning and resouricng; rightsizing; process automation including ISO certification; and security and facilities management.

Susan Kiama is a seasoned manager with demonstrated success in delivering results in complex environments. She has lead large, diverse teams. She is a strong communicator with excellent interpersonal skills and a participatory approach to delivering results. Susan is adaptable to change, providing innovative, practical and pragmatic solutions to challenges. She is decisive, energetic and hands-on. Susan has been accountable for forecasting, justifying, expending and accounting for significant capital and operational budgets.

Susan is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Personnel & Development UK and is the current Chair of the Board of the College of Institute of Human Resource Management Kenya and is a member of the Governing Council of the Institute. She also sits on the Board of Directors of Chancery Wright Insurance Brokers and Allavida Kenya

Susan Kiama is a Kenyan citizen and hold BA in Economics, from Richmond College, The American University in London and a Postgraduate Diploma in Personnel Management and Industrial Relations Kingston University, UK. She has numerous certifications in psychometric assessments, job evaluation, project management and leadership programs. Susan is also member of the Kenya Institute of Management.

What's more she was a guest at the SHREC club and gave a talk on life in the University, as Jeff Koinange says you can never get guests like these anywhere else and if you have not joined shrec, you simply do not belong to a club, let alone Strathmore!
